As a Chicagoan, I consider myself a pizza connoisseur. Ever since I moved here, I’ve been searching for pizza that compares to that of my hometown, but  I’ve always come up short. (Chicago does it best)  As a non-New Yorker, identifying the best joints can be difficult when there’s a pizzeria on practically every corner.

Enter Skinny Pizza! Nestled in the food court of  Hudson Eats downtown is one of the most spectacular pizzerias I’ve found  in NYC.

We were introduced to Skinny Pizza when partnering with Brookfield Place for a Mommy and Me lunch. The menu was the perfect balance for all of our guests….little picky eaters included.  We hosted over 12 blogger families from all over NYC.  While their thin crust pizzas are the companies claim to fame, the menu boasts lots of other options….pasta, salads and soup to cover everyone. Vegetarians, vegans, gluten-free….even  the most health conscious meat lovers were all accommodated with the expansive catering menu.

Skinny Pizza is a healthier take on traditional New York-style pizza. Their thin, crispy pizza is low calorie and uses organic tomatoes and natural toppings without sacrificing taste. Vegetarians will love the Skinny Vegetarian, a mix of baby arugula, scallions, tomatoes, garlic, part-skim and fresh mozzarella, romano cheese, balsamic vinaigrette. (Vegans will love it with no cheese).  A plethora of salad and pasta options are great for guests who opt to skip pizza.

Eating healthy is a goal for my family in 2018, but I’m going to do so without sacrificing flavor, and my favorite foods.  I believe a great diet is one that has balance. Guilt-free and great tasting. Check out the menu here. Take home a pie next time you’re at Brookfield Place, or give them a call to cater your next party!

Love.
